  • 6 groups combine to 3 groups

Combined group discussion session

  • Combined groups take their 12-16 recommendations and winnow them down to 6-8.

3:15-3:45

Mini-plenary Session

Moderator: Carl Moore, Ph.D.

  • Each of the three groups reports on their recommendations.
  • Similar recommendations that could be merged are identified.

3:15-5:15 pm

Amendment and Merger Session

  • Groups meet to consider whether to recommend amendments to the other groups’ recommendations.
  • Group members work together to merge similar recommendations.

5:15-5:45

Good Will Outreach

  • Representatives from each group go to the other groups and shares the rationale for their proposed amendments.

6-8 pm

  • Leadership Team Appreciation

DAY 3, Saturday, May 5, 2007 (Location: Embassy Suites Hotel)

Final meetings of small groups, to decide which amendments to accept.

Plenary Session

  • Chaired by Tony Trujillo, former New Mexico First board chair
  • Participants achieve consensus on the final recommendations.
  • Final result 15-20 concrete, actionable policy recommendations for state lawmakers and others.
